This is a small urban garden that had fallen into disrepair 15 years after its original installation, I was asked to rethink the space. The design utilizes a streamlined plant palette to create uniformity and a clear sense of a room. Species were carefully selected to give the space a sense of drama. A grove of 25' bamboo creates an enclosure around a flat field of gravel and highlights the simple form of the 100-year-old London plane tree.
